Taylor Logo Design

Virtually every new Taylor business realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners entirely grasp the pivotal role their logo design will take in their success, or precisely why one business logo performs far better than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term impact on the financial success of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Taylor companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require consideration, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Taylor coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an old section of the city and wanted to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks via creating a logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and germs designed for Taylor medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog created for a family enjoyable center in Taylor.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Taylor traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Taylor logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Taylor logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, however the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Taylor publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, but it really is the most essential part of a published book given that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many occurrences one of the items people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Taylor logo style made use of for advertising as well as a tag design for Vintage Case features an old typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this brand design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Taylor, style include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that every single dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design which projected a sense of calmness and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious path of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a business logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is frequently the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software application programmer the design attributes and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Taylor logo dsign using an illustration that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t actually created for an Taylor regional farm it was really created for a products broker, and this particular company logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to design a graphic that projects confidence, financial success, and wealth.
Logo made for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
