Taylor, Michigan Logo Design

Nearly every new Taylor organization knows they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners entirely comprehend the pivotal role their organization logo can take in their financial success, or exactly why one logo functions more effectively than another. A logo has a critical and long term impact on the prosperity of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Taylor, Michigan companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Taylor, Michigan coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an old section of town and wanted to project a vintage feel without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by means of creating a trademark design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Taylor, Michigan medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a jumping green frog made for a household fun center in Taylor, Michigan.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Taylor, Michigan travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Taylor logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Taylor logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo realize how important a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of difficulties, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Taylor, Michigan book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most essential part of a printed book considering that it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Taylor logo style utilized for marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Taylor, Michigan, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects considering that it appears that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which projected a feeling of serenity and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious course of making merely a stylized orchid but rather created a business logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind business logo design fashioned to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. With an unique head form and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily identifiable equine types in the whole world.

Las Coffee shop logo style a small restaurant, style contains a customized manuscript font style which floats over a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software programmer the style attributes and renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Taylor logo design dsign along with an image that seizes the interest of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really composed for an Taylor, Michigan area farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to create a graphic that projects confidence, financial success, and affluence.

Taylor Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style function for ostensibly dealing with arrow and the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design that they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the opportunity to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the first go.

Logo made for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is evocative a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the business owner to create a business logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
