Warren, Michigan Logo Design

Nearly every new Warren company knows they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners entirely comprehend the pivotal role their logo can perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and long term influence on the prosperity of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Warren, Michigan companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Warren, Michigan coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an old section of the community and wished to cast an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by creating a logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for Warren, Michigan medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping green frog created for a household enjoyable facility in Warren, Michigan.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - designed for Warren, Michigan travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Warren logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Warren logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get honest viewpoints on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo realize how important a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of obstacles, but the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Warren, Michigan book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, but it really is the most necessary part of a printed book since it is often the first thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many occurrences one of the aspects consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to confering a sense of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Warren logo layout utilized for advertising and also a label style for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this business logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Warren, Michigan, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it seems that every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually really love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design that communicated a feeling of ease and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather created a business logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the main focus on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software designer the design functions and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Warren logo design dsign along with a graphic that captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t really designed for an Warren, Michigan area farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to produce an identity that projected trust, financial success, and opulence.

Warren Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo design attribute for ostensibly encountering arrow and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the first go.

Logo design created for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo design which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
