Wayne Logo Design

Every new Wayne company knows they require a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly understand the pivotal role their logo will play in their becoming successful, or why one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and sustaining effect on the financial success of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Wayne companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Wayne coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an old part of the town and hoped to project a nostalgic vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks via creating a company logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and germs created for Wayne clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a household enjoyable facility in Wayne.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Wayne traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Wayne logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Wayne logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design realize how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of obstacles, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Wayne publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most vital part of a printed book considering that it is often the primary thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was surely a success.

Wayne logo style made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Instance features an old font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Wayne, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it seems that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which communicated an atmosphere of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a company logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software developer the design functions as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

Evolve logo design developed for a Wayne indoor developer, style function a series of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Wayne interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. Interior design is a diverse occupation that involves conceptual development, area planning, site inspections, programming, investigation, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and execution of the design.

logo layout provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in middle of words advanced have actually been modified to connect directly into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to market their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Wayne logo design dsign with an illustration that seizes the attention of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an Wayne regional farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to design a image that projected self-confidence, success, and affluence.
Logo design developed for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is reminiscent of a popular sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
