Wyandotte, Michigan Logo Design

Virtually every new Wyandotte organization understands that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully recognize the key role their business logo will take in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design performs far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and long term effect on the success of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Wyandotte, Michigan businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Wyandotte, Michigan coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an older section of the city and hoped to cast a nostalgic tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by developing a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs developed for Wyandotte, Michigan clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun facility in Wyandotte, Michigan.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Wyandotte, Michigan travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Wyandotte logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Wyandotte logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo understand how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of challenges, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Wyandotte, Michigan book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most essential part of a printed book due to the fact that it is usually the first thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many instances 1 of the traits consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a spirit of flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Wyandotte logo layout made use of for advertising as well as a tag layout for Vintage Case features an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Wyandotte, Michigan, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects because it appears that every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually enjoy doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which communicated a sense of contentment and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the attention on the perception that they wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software programmer the style functions and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Wyandotte logo dsign using an image that captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Wyandotte, Michigan regional farm it was in reality created for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to make a brand mark that projected self-confidence, financial success, and opulence.

Wyandotte Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design function for externally dealing with arrowhead and also the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design created for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is reminiscent of a popular sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
