Oakdale Logo Design

Every new Oakdale business knows they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners fully realize the crucial role their logo can perform in their success, or the reason that one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term influence on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Oakdale companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike created for a Oakdale coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an older section of town and wished to visualize a vintage vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both tasks by means of designing a logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for Oakdale medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family members fun center in Oakdale.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Oakdale travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Oakdale logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Oakdale logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo comprehend how essential a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s portion of obstacles, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Oakdale book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, but it really is the most essential part of a published book because it is often the primary thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many instances 1 of the traits folks often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was surely a victory.

Oakdale logo design made use of for marketing and also a tag design for Vintage Instance features an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Oakdale, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that every single dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which carried an atmosphere of peace and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious course of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a company logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is oftentimes the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo design for a software application developer the style attributes as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Oakdale business logo dsign utilizing an illustration which garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t actually developed for an Oakdale regional farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to develop a image that projects trust, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo created for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
