Otsego Logo Design

Nearly every new Otsego company understands that they need a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly understand the crucial role their logo design will make in their success, or why one business logo performs far better than another. A logo has an instant and lasting impact on the success of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Otsego businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand scrutiny, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Otsego coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an older section of the community and hoped to project a vintage tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by means of creating a trademark design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria designed for Otsego clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a family members enjoyable center in Otsego.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Otsego travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Otsego logo but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Otsego logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo realize how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo design job has it’s share of challenges, however the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Otsego publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most important part of a published book because it is ordinarily the primary thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many occurrences one of the things folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was certainly a success.

Otsego logo design made use of for advertising and also a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Otsego, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs because it appears that every single dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that projected a spirit of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo style developed for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created an original custom logo concept styled to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. With an identifiable head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable equine breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small dining establishment, style consists of a modified manuscript font style which hovers above a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software application developer the style features as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

Advance logo layout produced for a Otsego interior developer, layout feature a collection of red circles that intersect as well as change the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Otsego business logo dsign with a graphic that seizes the attention of traffic and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually designed for an Otsego regional farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to develop a graphic that projected trust, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo design developed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font that is evocative a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
