POINTERS ON DETERMINING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design company offers a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they can not reimburse the amount of time you invest which is much more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but in the end a design agency can only be evaluated by the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t feature real world examples chances are they will never be able to deliver a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be recognized and be unforgettable, and it’s goal is to reflect your personal vision for your company. If a designer isn’t focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they will get paid.

West Coon Rapids LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping business owners establish notable brand identities. We’ve done brand design work for farmers, universities, diamond miners, wedding singers, coffee shops, retailers, and virtually every other kind of business you can envision. What makes us unique compared to our competitors is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every logo design project as if it will be employed as an electrical sign. As a result of our sign first method our designs can, and have been employed in everything from garment labels to electrical signs. Our sign first technique insures that our logos are equally successful whether they are used in TV commercials or website apps, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and remembered no matter of size or use.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference which seriously sets ImageCo apart from other design agencies that you probably have encountered in Google’s search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are brought on board to perform, we do ourselves. Irrespective of the type of project we accept, logo design, web site, trade show exhibit, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will farm out our customer’s work to 3rd parties located outside the US. When you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a middleman that marks up the price of your design project and determines the terms of how we conduct business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD LOGO DESIGN

Every new West Coon Rapids entrepreneur knows they require a logo, but few start-ups fully grasp the crucial role their organization’s logo will play in their success, or exactly why one logo design functions more effectively than another. A logo has a critical and long-term effect on the growth of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help West Coon Rapids companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need consideration, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from label to posters a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the product or company they brand.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be ageless and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

understand your brand

Brand – It is a verb and a noun, it is an identifying mark and also the act of marking something so that it can be distinguished, its origin originates from the mark burned onto livestock. Nowadays a brand indicates virtually anything with an intention, regardless if it be revenue or political parties, a brand is an inherent aspect of defining the worth of a specific thing in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like marketing and advertising’s attractive cousin, they are both from the exact same family, the distinction being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity contest directed at a target audience, it’s goal is to create an image that the audience will relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing and also identity design. When a person says the names Ferrari or Mustang what we think of is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can deliver us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, beauty, of something dangerous and unique . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals buy those products. Brand image is why individuals get specific brands, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Firms – If you reflect on the beginning of many branding companies you’ll find that they are frequently re-branded advertising agencies. When somebody claims they are in marketing lots of people will likely have an idea about what they do. Yet when someone says “I am in branding”… it simply sounds more attractive, perhaps it’s due to the fact that the majority of people do not recognize what it implies to be in branding so it comes off as more mysterious and kind of sexy.

Brand Identity – Is an inclusive term that describes the visual aspects of a product or agency that influence view points. This mostly consists of the name, the logo, the product packaging, the colors used yet can additionally include audio, illumination, texture, signage, just about anything that can be seen, felt or listened to are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that focuses on a type of visual design which helps form the public image of a company, a product or a company. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, sign designs, packaging, and collateral material such as cards, stationery, as well as sales brochures. Some visual designers also design sites as well as software interfaces. The crucial function of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and an emotional tone with the objective of affecting activities, end results and assumptions.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a West Coon Rapids coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening in an older section of town and hoped to cast an old-fashioned tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs via creating a sign concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for West Coon Rapids clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a family members fun center in West Coon Rapids.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for West Coon Rapids travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West Coon Rapids logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

West Coon Rapids logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo design understand how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo design project has it’s share of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for West Coon Rapids book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is often the first thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the traits individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was certainly a victory.

West Coon Rapids logo design made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance includes an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in West Coon Rapids, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it appears that almost every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a West Coon Rapids hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which carried a feeling of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is more often than not the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian equine logo layout created for a horse cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed an original logo concept tailored to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. By having a different head shape and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable horse types in the world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a little restaurant, style includes a changed manuscript font which hovers above a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software program developer the style attributes as well as iconic West Coon Rapids aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

Develop logo style created for a West Coon Rapidsindoor designer, design attribute a series of red circles that intersect as well as change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a West Coon Rapids interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is someone who organizes, researches, coordinates, and oversees such projects. logo layout done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in West Coon Rapids, the characters for letter V and also A in middle of words advanced have actually been modified to tie directly into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This West Coon Rapids logo design assignment was undertaken for a leadership expert that aids business professionals to become more successful at handling people, expectations, and productivity.

A West Coon Rapids business logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their West Coon Rapids logo design design using a graphic that captures the interest of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this West Coon Rapids company logo layout has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an West Coon Rapids area farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to design a graphic that projected trust, financial success, and affluence.

West Coon Rapids Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally facing arrow and also the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo made for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is reminiscent of a renowned West Coon Rapids sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
