POINTERS FOR PICKING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so when a design company presents a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they can’t reimburse the amount of time you invest which is much more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but in the end a design firm can only be evaluated from the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio doesn’t contain actual examples chances are they will never be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and remembered, and it’s purpose is to echo your personal vision for your company. If a designer is not focused on realizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how soon they can get paid.

Brandon LOGO DESIGN

For over twenty years ImageCo has been helping start ups and entrepreneurs establish memorable brand identities. We’ve done brand identity design work for builders, colleges, diamond miners, party planners, restaurants, retailers, and just about every other kind of business concern you can think of. What makes us unique compared to our competitors is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every brand identity project as if it will be utilized as an electrical sign. As a result of our sign first method our identity designs can, and have been utilized in everything from clothing labels to billboards. Our sign first method guarantees that our logos are just as successful whether they are used in television commercials or web apps, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and always remembered regardless of scale or purpose.

American Made ★ Design

Something which really sets ImageCo apart from many of the design agencies that you probably have stumbled upon online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every project we are hired to do, we do ourselves. No matter the kind of project we undertake, business logo, website, trade show booth, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will farm out our customer’s work to agencies based outside the US. When you call us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that increases the cost of your project and imposes the terms of how my customers and I conduct business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

Nearly every new Brandon entrepreneur knows they require a logo, but few new business owners fully comprehend the crucial role their logo design can make in their success, or why one business logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and long-term impact on the success of a company, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Brandon companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the item or company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be ageless and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

understanding branding

Brand – It is a verb and a noun, it is an identifying mark and also the process of noting something so that it could be distinguished, its origin originates from the mark burned onto livestock. These days a brand signifies basically anything with an objective, whether it be earnings or political parties, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the value of a specific thing in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like marketing and advertising’s sexy sister, they are all from the very same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition directed at a target audience, it’s objective is to produce a mental image that the audience can relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing and also identity design. When a person mentions the names Lamborghini or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can carry us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, beauty, of something dangerous and exotic . That is brand image and that is what makes individuals buy those products. Brand image is why people acquire most things, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you look back at the beginning of most branding companies you’ll discover that they are quite often re-branded advertising companies. When somebody says they are in advertising most people will likely have a preconceived notion about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, touched or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a designer that specializes in a type of visual design which helps form the perception of a business, a product or a business. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, signage designs, packaging, and collateral products such as cards, stationery, and pamphlets. Some identity designers also develop websites and user interfaces. The crucial duty of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues as well as a psychological tone with the objective of affecting actions, results and also perceptions.

Featured logos & signs

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Brandon coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an older part of the area and hoped to project a nostalgic feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved both tasks by developing a trademark concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and germs developed for Brandon medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a family enjoyable center in Brandon.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Brandon traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Brandon logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Brandon logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective judgements on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo design realize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s share of challenges, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Brandon book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most vital part of a printed book given that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems that in many cases 1 of the items consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Brandon logo design used for advertising as well as a tag design for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Brandon, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it appears that each and every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a Brandon hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which related an atmosphere of contentment and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious course of creating just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a company logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is usually the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian horse logo layout produced for a horse cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a unique brand design fashioned to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. With a distinctive head form and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily identifiable horse lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe, A Brandon Coffee shop logo design a little dining establishment, style includes a modified manuscript typeface which floats over a group of ornate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small restaurant, style consists of a modified script typeface which hovers over a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software programmer the style features and also iconic Brandon component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Advance logo layout produced for a Brandonindoor designer, style feature a series of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Brandon interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is someone who plans, researches, collaborates, and manages such ventures. Interior design is a diverse profession that includes conceptual development, space planning, site examinations, programming, study, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo design provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Brandon, the personalities for letter V and A in middle of the word advanced have actually been changed to link straight right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Brandon logo design job was completed for a management consultant that assists business leaders to become more successful at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A Brandon business logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to market their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Brandon logo design with an image which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Logo style MQ farms, this Brandon company logo style has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Brandon area farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this company logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to generate a graphic that projected esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.

Brandon Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design attribute for ostensibly dealing with arrowhead as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the opportunity to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo design designed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is similar to a famous Brandon sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo design that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
