STRATEGIES ON IDENTIFYING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so when a design agency presents a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they can’t reimburse the time you commit which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many designers talk a good game but ultimately a designer can only be evaluated from the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t contain real life samples chances are they won’t be able to produce a top quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s aim is to be understood and remembered, and it’s objective is to mirror your personal vision for your business. If a designer is not focused on realizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Clinton LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping businesses of all kinds grow unforgettable brands. We’ve performed logo design work for ranchers, colleges, heart surgeons, party planners, restaurants, retail stores, and practically every other kind of business you can imagine. What makes us unique compared to our competitors is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every design as if it will be utilized as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first approach our logo designs can, and have been utilized in everything from fashion labels to electrical signs. Our sign first approach guarantees that our logos are just as reliable whether they are used in television commercials or website applications, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and remembered irrespective of size or application.

American Made ★ Design

Something that really sets ImageCo apart from other design companies that you probably have found online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every project we are hired to do, we do in-house. Irrespective of the kind of project we undertake, logo design, website design, trade show display, or retail sign, we do not, and never will contract out our client’s projects to contractors based outside the United States. When you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that answers the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a middleman that increases the cost of your project and dictates the conditions of how you and I conduct business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

It’s likely that every new Clinton company realizes that they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully realize the pivotal role their company logo will play in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo works better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the viability of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Clinton businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t need consideration, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to store signs a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the product or company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It is both a verb as well as a noun, it is an identifying mark and the act of marking something so that it can be distinguished, its origin originates from the brand burned onto animals. Today a brand signifies pretty much anything with an objective, regardless if it be earnings or government agencies, a brand is an innate aspect of defining the value of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like marketing and advertising’s attractive sister, they are each from the very same family, the distinction being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a strategic popularity contest targeted at a target audience, it’s objective is to develop a mental image that the audience can relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing and also identity design. When someone mentions the names Lamborghini or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and brand image is what makes people purchase those brands. Brand image is why people get most things, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you reflect on the history of most branding firms you’ll find that they are often re-branded marketing and advertising agencies. When somebody states they are in marketing most individuals will likely have a preconceived notion about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or heard become part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a designer that focuses on a kind of visual design which helps shape the perception of a firm, a product or an organization. Brand identity designers create logo designs, signage designs, packaging, and collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and also pamphlets. Some identity designers also build sites and also user interfaces. The necessary role of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues as well as a psychological tone with the objective of influencing actions, outcomes and understandings.

select signs/logos

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Clinton coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an older section of the area and really wanted to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by means of creating a logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and germs developed for Clinton medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a leaping green frog developed for a family members enjoyable facility in Clinton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - created for Clinton travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they frequently share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Clinton logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Clinton logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased assessments on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Clinton publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most essential part of a published book given that it is often the first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it looks like that in many occurrences one of the items folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of flight and it was definitely a success.

Clinton logo style used for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Instance includes an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Clinton, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that almost every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design developed for a Clinton hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which projected a feeling of relaxation and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian horse logo design developed for an equine ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a unique logotype concept customized to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. By having a distinctive head form and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately recognizable horse types in the entire world.

Las Cafe, A Clinton Coffee shop logo layout a tiny restaurant, style contains a changed script font style which hovers over a group of ornate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small dining establishment, design contains a modified script font which hovers over a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software designer the style attributes and also renowned Clinton component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

Develop logo design created for a Clintonindoor designer, layout feature a collection of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Clinton interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a professional who plans, investigates, collaborates, and oversees such projects. Interior design is a diverse profession that involves conceptual development, space planning, site inspections, programming, study, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and execution of the design.

logo layout provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Clinton, the personalities for letter V and A in center of the word advanced have actually been customized to link straight into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Clinton logo design assignment was undertaken for a management consultant that helps business professionals to develop into more successful at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Clinton business logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to market their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Clinton logo design design utilizing an illustration which seizes the attention of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Logo style MQ farms, this Clinton company logo style has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an Clinton regional farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to create a graphic that projected assurance, financial success, and affluence.

Clinton Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout feature for ostensibly dealing with arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo design developed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a renowned Clinton sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to develop a logo design which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
