STRATEGIES ON FINDING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design company presents a money back guarantee try to remember that they simply cannot refund the time you invest which is eminently more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some design firms talk a good game but in the end a design firm can only be evaluated from the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio does not feature actual examples chances are they will not be able to deliver a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s aim is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s purpose is to reflect your unique vision for your business. If a logo designer is not focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how quickly they will get paid.

Gautier LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping start ups and entrepreneurs establish notable brands. We’ve done brand design work for builders, colleges, diamond miners, wedding singers, restaurants, retail stores, and practically every other kind of business concern you can imagine. What makes ImageCo unique compared to traditional designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every design as if it will be used as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first approach our designs can, and have been utilized in everything from clothing labels to electrical signs. Our sign first technique insures that our logos are equally successful whether they are used in TV commercials or web applications, they are consistently identifiable, understood, and always remembered no matter of size or use.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference which really sets ImageCo apart from other design firms that you might possibly have encountered on-line, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every project we are hired to perform, we perform in-house. Regardless of the type of design project we undertake, logo, business website, trade show exhibit, or electric sign, we do not, and never will farm out our customer’s projects to contractors based outside the US. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that marks up the cost of your design project and determines the conditions of how you and I conduct business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF AN EFFECTIVE LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new Gautier entrepreneur realizes that they need a logo, but few start-ups entirely realize the crucial role their business logo can play in their financial success, or why one logo design performs far better than another. A logo design has a critical and long term influence on the prosperity of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Gautier companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need consideration, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the item or company they brand.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be ageless and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It is a verb and a noun, it’s an identifying mark and also the process of denoting something to ensure that it can be distinguished, its origin comes from the mark burned onto animals. Nowadays a brand symbolizes basically anything with an intention, regardless if it be profit or political parties, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the value of a specific thing in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are both from the very same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing are about making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a strategic popularity competition directed at a specific audience, it’s objective is to produce a mental image that the target market can identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing and identity design. When somebody mentions the brand names Lamborghini or Mustang what we think about is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can transport us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, beauty, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and brand image is what makes people want those brands. Brand image is why individuals identify with specific brands, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Firms – If you look back at the history of most branding agencies you’ll find that they are often rebranded advertising firms. When someone states they are in advertising the majority of people will likely have an idea about what they do. However when somebody states “I am in branding”… it simply seems much more impressive, maybe it’s due to the fact that the majority of people do not know what it means to be in branding so it comes off as more mysterious and kind of attractive.

Brand Identity – Is a comprehensive term that explains the visual elements of a product or agency that influence perceptions. This mostly includes the name, the logo, the packaging, the different colors used however can additionally include audio, illumination, texture, signs, really anything that can be seen, felt or listened to belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that specializes in a type of visual design which helps form the perception of a business, a product or a business. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, and also collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and sales brochures. Some identity designers also design websites as well as user interfaces. The crucial duty of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues and an emotional tone with the goal of influencing activities, outcomes and understandings.

Featured signs/logos

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Gautier coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older section of the community and really wanted to visualize a retro vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs by means of designing a logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs created for Gautier clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members enjoyable facility in Gautier.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Gautier travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Gautier logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Gautier logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest viewpoints on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Gautier publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most critical part of a published book considering that it is often the first thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems that in many cases one of the things individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of flight and it was definitely a winner.

Gautier logo layout utilized for marketing and also a tag design for Vintage Case includes an antiquated font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Gautier, style include an arc with lines converging through it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it appears that virtually every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style produced for a Gautier hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that conveyed an atmosphere of peace and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of creating merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo style produced for an equine ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a distinct custom logo concept fashioned to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. With a different head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily identifiable horse lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe, A Gautier restaurant logo design a tiny dining establishment, style contains a changed manuscript typeface which floats over a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a small dining establishment, style consists of a customized script typeface which floats over a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo design for a software application developer the layout functions as well as renowned Gautier aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the meaning supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Advance logo style produced for a Gautierinterior designer, layout feature a series of red circles that converge as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Gautier interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is somebody who prepares, explores, coordinates, and oversees such ventures. Interior design is a multifaceted occupation that includes conceptual development, area planning, site inspections, programming, investigation, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo layout provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Gautier, the characters for letter V and A in center of words progressed have actually been modified to link straight right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Gautier logo design project was performed for a leadership advisor that enables business leaders to develop into more effective at handling people, expectations, and productivity.

A Gautier business logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell off their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their Gautier business logo design utilizing an illustration that captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Logo style MQ ranches, this Gautier company logo style has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t actually composed for an Gautier regional farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to design a brand mark that projects assurance, financial success, and luxury.

Gautier Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout feature for ostensibly facing arrowhead as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without realizing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I hit a bullseye with the first go.

Logo design created for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is evocative a well-known Gautier sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the business owner to produce a logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
