Arnold, Missouri Logo Design

Every new Arnold business professional knows they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully realize the crucial role their business logo will perform in their success, or why one logo functions better than another. A business logo has a critical and long-term effect on the growth of a business, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Arnold, Missouri businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand scrutiny, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.
Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Arnold, Missouri coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an old section of the city and hoped to cast a nostalgic feel without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved both jobs via developing a business logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for Arnold, Missouri medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping green frog made for a family members fun facility in Arnold, Missouri.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Arnold, Missouri travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Arnold logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Arnold logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective judgements on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Arnold, Missouri publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most vital part of a printed book given that it is often the initial thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many cases 1 of the items people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a spirit of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Arnold logo design utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Arnold, Missouri, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that each and every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that communicated a feeling of relaxation and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious course of creating merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application developer the layout attributes as well as famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Arnold logo design dsign using an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t actually produced for an Arnold, Missouri regional farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to make an identity that projected self-assurance, financial success, and wealth.

Arnold Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for outwardly dealing with arrow and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without realizing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo design developed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a well-known sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to develop a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
