Blue Springs, Missouri Logo Design

Each and every new Blue Springs company understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the vital role their logo design will play in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design performs better than another. A business logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the prosperity of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Blue Springs, Missouri companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Blue Springs, Missouri coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an old section of the town and wanted to cast a vintage tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by means of developing a symbol design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and bacteria made for Blue Springs, Missouri medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a household enjoyable center in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Blue Springs, Missouri travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Blue Springs logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Blue Springs logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest judgements on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo understand how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of difficulties, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Blue Springs, Missouri book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most critical part of a published book given that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems like that in many cases 1 of the traits individuals often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to confering a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

Blue Springs logo layout made use of for advertising and marketing and a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an old font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Blue Springs, Missouri, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design which conveyed a spirit of calmness and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious route of designing merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo design which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the style functions as well as legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Blue Springs logo dsign along with an illustration which garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an Blue Springs, Missouri area farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make a image that projected assurance, financial success, and wealth.

Blue Springs Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally facing arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without recognizing where the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo design made for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is evocative a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the owner to design a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
