Cape Girardeau Logo Design

Each and every new Cape Girardeau business realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully are aware of the vital role their logo design will take in their financial success, or why one logo design functions better than another. A logo has an immediate and lasting influence on the growth of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Cape Girardeau businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Cape Girardeau coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an old section of the area and really wanted to visualize a nostalgic tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by designing a symbol design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs made for Cape Girardeau clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo design with a leaping green frog designed for a household enjoyable center in Cape Girardeau.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Cape Girardeau travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead convey emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Cape Girardeau logo but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Cape Girardeau logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo design recognize how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, however the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Cape Girardeau publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book considering that it is usually the primary thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the items folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Cape Girardeau logo layout used for advertising and also a tag layout for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Cape Girardeau, design include an arc with lines converging through it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it appears that almost every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that related a spirit of calmness and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious route of making simply a stylized orchid but rather created a business logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is more often than not the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo style developed for a steed ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application programmer the style attributes and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to market their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Cape Girardeau logo dsign utilizing a graphic that garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t really created for an Cape Girardeau regional farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this particular company was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to design a graphic that projects trust, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
