Florissant, Missouri Logo Design

Every new Florissant organization realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully realize the key role their business logo will make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo design functions far better than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting effect on the success of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Florissant, Missouri businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Florissant, Missouri coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an older part of the community and wished to project a nostalgic tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs via developing a trademark design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs created for Florissant, Missouri clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog designed for a family members enjoyable facility in Florissant, Missouri.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Florissant, Missouri traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Florissant logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Florissant logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial judgements on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s portion of challenges, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Florissant, Missouri book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a printed book since it is often the first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Florissant logo style used for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Florissant, Missouri, layout include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it appears that almost every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually really love doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that projected an atmosphere of ease and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo design that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the attention on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian equine logo layout produced for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a small dining establishment, layout consists of a changed script typeface which floats above a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software application programmer the design functions and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo design is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Florissant business logo dsign with an image that pulls in the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Florissant, Missouri regional farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this trademark was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to create a brand mark that projected trust, success, and affluence.

Florissant Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design function for outwardly facing arrow and also the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the freedom to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I hit a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo design designed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is evocative a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a business logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
