Gladstone, Missouri Logo Design

Nearly every new Gladstone company understands that they require a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly grasp the key role their logo design can play in their becoming successful, or precisely why one business logo performs far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and sustaining impact on the viability of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Gladstone, Missouri companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from labels to signboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.
Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Gladstone, Missouri coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an old section of town and wanted to cast a vintage tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved the two tasks via designing a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and germs created for Gladstone, Missouri clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members fun facility in Gladstone, Missouri.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Gladstone, Missouri travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Gladstone logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Gladstone logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo design understand how vital a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s portion of difficulties, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Gladstone, Missouri publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems like that in many cases 1 of the items people often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Gladstone logo design used for advertising and marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Gladstone, Missouri, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that virtually every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that carried a feeling of simplicity and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively created a business logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the importance on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo layout developed for a steed ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software program developer the style functions as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Gladstone business logo dsign using an illustration which grabs the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really composed for an Gladstone, Missouri regional farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to produce an identity that projects trust, effectiveness, and opulence.

Gladstone Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout function for externally facing arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo design made for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is evocative a famous sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to develop a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
