Jefferson City Logo Design

Nearly every new Jefferson City organization realizes that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly comprehend the pivotal role their logo will play in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design performs better than another. A business logo has an instant and long term impact on the success of a business, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Jefferson City businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Jefferson City coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an older part of the area and hoped to cast a retro atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by designing a logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs designed for Jefferson City clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a family members fun facility in Jefferson City.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Jefferson City traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Jefferson City logo but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Jefferson City logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo realize how vital a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo job has it’s share of challenges, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Jefferson City book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most critical part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the things individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was certainly a victory.

Jefferson City logo layout made use of for advertising and marketing and also a label style for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Jefferson City, design include an arc with lines converging through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which communicated a feeling of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious course of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a business logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is frequently the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo design produced for a horse cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout attributes and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell off their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Jefferson City logo design dsign along with a graphic which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really created for an Jefferson City area farm it was actually created for an investments broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to create a graphic that projected esteem, success, and luxury.
Logo design designed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
