Joplin Logo Design

Each and every new Joplin organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the essential role their logo design will play in their becoming successful, or why one business logo performs better than another. A business logo has a critical and long-term influence on the prosperity of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Joplin companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Joplin coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an old section of the town and really wanted to project a retro tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs via creating a custom logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as bacteria developed for Joplin medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the clinical assessment of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping green frog developed for a family members enjoyable facility in Joplin.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Joplin traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Joplin logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Joplin logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest assessments on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo comprehend how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Joplin book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most vital part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the items people usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a victory.

Joplin logo layout utilized for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance includes an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Joplin, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that each and every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that related a sense of simplicity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a business logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is usually the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software programmer the design features as well as renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo design is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Joplin logo design dsign with an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Joplin regional farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this brand was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to make a graphic that projects assurance, financial success, and luxury.
Logo made for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is evocative a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo design which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
