Lemay, Missouri Logo Design

Every new Lemay business person understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully comprehend the essential role their logo can make in their success, or precisely why one business logo performs more effectively than another. A business logo has an immediate and sustaining influence on the success of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Lemay, Missouri businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from labels to movie screens a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be ageless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.
Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Lemay, Missouri coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an older section of the city and hoped to visualize a nostalgic vibe without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by means of developing a logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also germs developed for Lemay, Missouri medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the laboratory examination of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping green frog created for a household fun facility in Lemay, Missouri.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Lemay, Missouri traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Lemay logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Lemay logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced opinions on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s share of challenges, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Lemay, Missouri book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most important part of a printed book because it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems like that in many cases 1 of the items folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a spirit of flight and it was definitely a victory.

Lemay logo layout used for marketing and a label style for Vintage Case includes an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Lemay, Missouri, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that each and every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which projected a spirit of relaxation and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious route of creating merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian equine logo layout developed for a steed ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software developer the design functions as well as famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell off their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Lemay logo design dsign with a graphic that pulls in the interest of traffic and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really produced for an Lemay, Missouri area farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to produce an identity that projects self-assurance, success, and wealth.

Lemay Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design attribute for externally facing arrow as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo designed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is evocative a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the business owner to create a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
