Maryland Heights, Missouri Logo Design

Nearly every new Maryland Heights company knows they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely realize the essential role their organization logo will play in their financial success, or why one logo works better than another. A company logo has an instant and long term impact on the success of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Maryland Heights, Missouri businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be realized in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Maryland Heights, Missouri coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an old section of the community and wanted to cast an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by designing a trademark design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for Maryland Heights, Missouri medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family fun facility in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Maryland Heights, Missouri travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Maryland Heights logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Maryland Heights logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial assessments on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how important a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s portion of challenges, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Maryland Heights, Missouri publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most critical part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the traits folks often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Maryland Heights logo style made use of for marketing and a label design for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Maryland Heights, Missouri, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects because it seems that every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that carried an atmosphere of contentment and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo design which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian steed logo style produced for a horse ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application designer the layout attributes as well as iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Maryland Heights logo dsign using an image which pulls in the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really designed for an Maryland Heights, Missouri regional farm it was really created for a products broker, and this creative logo was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to produce a graphic that projected assurance, success, and prosperity.

Maryland Heights Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally encountering arrowhead as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo design designed for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a business logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
