Poplar Bluff, Missouri Logo Design

Virtually every new Poplar Bluff organization understands that they require a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly realize the pivotal role their company logo can perform in their success, or the reason that one logo design functions better than another. A logo has an instant and sustaining impact on the prosperity of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Poplar Bluff, Missouri companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.
Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Poplar Bluff, Missouri coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an older part of town and wanted to cast a nostalgic feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs via creating a business logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs made for Poplar Bluff, Missouri medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that deals with the clinical examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a family fun center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Poplar Bluff, Missouri traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Poplar Bluff logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Poplar Bluff logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial opinions on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their organization so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of hurdles, but the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Poplar Bluff, Missouri publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it looks like that in many instances one of the traits individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Poplar Bluff logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Instance features an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects because it appears that every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which conveyed a feeling of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a company logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is more often than not the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo layout for a software designer the style features and also renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Poplar Bluff logo design dsign along with an image which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really developed for an Poplar Bluff, Missouri regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to generate a graphic that projects confidence, success, and prosperity.

Poplar Bluff Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design attribute for ostensibly dealing with arrow and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I hit a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo created for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is similar to a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
