Raytown, Missouri Logo Design

Each and every new Raytown business person realizes that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the vital role their company logo can make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo design functions better than another. A business logo has an immediate and sustaining influence on the success of a company, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Raytown, Missouri companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be timeless and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.
Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Raytown, Missouri coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an old part of the area and really wanted to cast an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by means of designing a custom logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs made for Raytown, Missouri clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog designed for a household fun facility in Raytown, Missouri.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Raytown, Missouri traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead project emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Raytown logo design but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Raytown logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased judgements on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo design understand how vital a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s portion of obstacles, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Raytown, Missouri publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most critical part of a printed book considering that it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many occurrences one of the traits consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Raytown logo layout used for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Raytown, Missouri, style include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which projected a feeling of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious course of creating merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo style for a software programmer the style functions and also famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo design is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell off their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Raytown logo dsign with an image that seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually developed for an Raytown, Missouri area farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this particular brand was one of multiple which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to generate a brand mark that projected confidence, effectiveness, and luxury.

Raytown Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style feature for ostensibly dealing with arrowhead and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo design developed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to design a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
