Republic Logo Design

Virtually every new Republic organization knows they require a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly realize the crucial role their business logo will play in their success, or precisely why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo has a critical and long term influence on the growth of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Republic companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike created for a Republic coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an old section of town and hoped to visualize an old-fashioned feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by means of creating a sign design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and germs designed for Republic medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a family members fun center in Republic.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for Republic travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Republic logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Republic logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design understand how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of obstacles, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Republic book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a published book because it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the traits individuals often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Republic logo layout utilized for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Republic, style consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects considering that it seems that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which projected a sense of tranquility and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept that did not go the obvious route of making just a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian equine logo style created for a horse ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a distinct brand concept fashioned to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a distinctive head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily identifiable equine lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe logo style a tiny restaurant, layout contains a customized script typeface which hovers above a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software developer the layout attributes as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Republic business logo dsign using a graphic that seizes the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really designed for an Republic regional farm it was actually created for a commodities broker, and this trademark was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to create an identity that projects esteem, success, and affluence.
Logo design created for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the owner to create a logo design which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
