Saint Charles Logo Design

Nearly every new Saint Charles business realizes that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the vital role their logo will make in their success, or precisely why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo has an instant and long-term impact on the prosperity of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Saint Charles companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Saint Charles coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an old section of the city and hoped to cast a vintage feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs via designing a custom logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Saint Charles medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I remember in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family enjoyable facility in Saint Charles.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Saint Charles travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead project emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Saint Charles logo design but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Saint Charles logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest point of views on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo realize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Saint Charles publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most critical part of a published book since it is usually the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it looks like that in many instances 1 of the items folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Saint Charles logo design made use of for advertising and also a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Saint Charles, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which related a feeling of peace and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of creating merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the emphasis on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software program designer the style features and also famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

Evolve logo style created for a Saint Charles interior designer, style function a collection of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Saint Charles logo dsign using a graphic that garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Saint Charles regional farm it was in reality created for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to make a graphic that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo design developed for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to design a business logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
