Saint Joseph Logo Design

Each and every new Saint Joseph company understands that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely recognize the crucial role their business logo can play in their success, or the reason that one logo design works better than another. A logo has an instant and long term effect on the prosperity of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Saint Joseph businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Saint Joseph coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an old part of the town and wished to cast a retro tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by creating a sign concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs made for Saint Joseph medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family members fun facility in Saint Joseph.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Saint Joseph traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Saint Joseph logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Saint Joseph logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design understand how important a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of challenges, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Saint Joseph publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many cases 1 of the aspects folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a victory.

Saint Joseph logo layout used for marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Saint Joseph, design include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which conveyed a feeling of relaxation and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a company logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo design for a software designer the design attributes and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

This Saint Joseph logo design assignment was undertaken for a management consultant that aids business professionals to become more successful at handling people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Saint Joseph business logo dsign using a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t really developed for an Saint Joseph regional farm it was actually created for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to create a brand mark that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo design made for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is similar to a popular sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
