Spanish Lake, Missouri Logo Design

Nearly every new Spanish Lake business person knows they need a logo, however few new business owners entirely grasp the crucial role their company logo can make in their success, or precisely why one logo design functions far better than another. A company logo has an instant and long term effect on the growth of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Spanish Lake, Missouri businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be enduring and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.
Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Spanish Lake, Missouri coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an older part of the town and wanted to project a retro tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by means of designing a custom logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as bacteria designed for Spanish Lake, Missouri medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping green frog made for a family fun facility in Spanish Lake, Missouri.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Spanish Lake, Missouri traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead convey emotional experiences through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Spanish Lake logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Spanish Lake logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced opinions on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo design understand how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s share of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Spanish Lake, Missouri book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person sees in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems that in many cases one of the traits individuals usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a spirit of airline flight and it was certainly a success.

Spanish Lake logo design used for advertising and marketing and also a label design for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Spanish Lake, Missouri, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it appears that every single dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which communicated a feeling of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious course of creating just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is frequently the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the attention on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo style for a software designer the layout functions and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Spanish Lake logo design dsign with an illustration which seizes the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really designed for an Spanish Lake, Missouri regional farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to develop a image that projected trust, financial success, and prosperity.

Spanish Lake Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design attribute for outwardly encountering arrowhead as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the opportunity to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo made for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the business owner to produce a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
