Springfield, Missouri Logo Design

Nearly every new Springfield company realizes that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the crucial role their organization’s logo will play in their success, or exactly why one logo design works better than another. A company logo has an instant and long-term influence on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Springfield, Missouri companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to movie screens a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.
Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Springfield, Missouri coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an old part of town and hoped to cast an old-fashioned atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both jobs by means of designing a trademark concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs created for Springfield, Missouri medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog developed for a household fun center in Springfield, Missouri.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Springfield, Missouri travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather convey emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Springfield logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Springfield logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased assessments on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo comprehend how crucial a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Springfield, Missouri publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a printed book since it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it looks like that in many instances 1 of the things individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a feeling of air travel and it was surely a success.

Springfield logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and a tag design for Vintage Case features an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this logo design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Springfield, Missouri, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs because it appears that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that related an atmosphere of peace and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is oftentimes the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software program designer the layout features and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Springfield logo dsign using a graphic which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an Springfield, Missouri area farm it was actually devised for a products broker, and this particular logo design was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to produce an identity that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.

Springfield Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo layout feature for ostensibly encountering arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo developed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a popular sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to design a business logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
