Wentzville Logo Design

Virtually every new Wentzville company understands that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners entirely realize the crucial role their logo can perform in their financial success, or precisely why one logo works far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and long-term effect on the financial success of a company, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Wentzville businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Wentzville coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an old section of the city and wanted to cast an old-fashioned tone without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by designing a business logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs made for Wentzville medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory examination of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members enjoyable facility in Wentzville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Wentzville traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather project emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Wentzville logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Wentzville logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Wentzville book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book since it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems that in many cases one of the aspects folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

Wentzville logo layout made use of for marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Wentzville, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it seems that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that conveyed an atmosphere of contentment and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious course of making simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the importance on the emotion that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the design features and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell off their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Wentzville business logo dsign along with a graphic that grabs the attention of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually composed for an Wentzville regional farm it was actually created for an investments broker, and this particular company was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to generate a graphic that projected trust, success, and prosperity.
Logo developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is similar to a well-known sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
