Bozeman Logo Design

Each and every new Bozeman business understands that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the vital role their company logo can perform in their success, or exactly why one logo functions better than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining influence on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Bozeman businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Bozeman coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an older section of the area and really wanted to visualize a nostalgic tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs by means of creating a custom logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and germs created for Bozeman medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members fun facility in Bozeman.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Bozeman traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bozeman logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Bozeman logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial assessments on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo design realize how vital a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of challenges, but the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Bozeman publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the first thing a person sees in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems that in many cases one of the traits folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Bozeman logo layout made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Bozeman, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it appears that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that related a spirit of relaxation and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious course of designing just a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is more often than not the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the main focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo style produced for an equine cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed an original custom logo design customized to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. By having a distinctive head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable horse breeds in the world.

Logo style for a software program developer the design attributes and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

Progress logo style created for a Bozeman interior developer, design feature a collection of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to sell off their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Bozeman logo design dsign utilizing an illustration that seizes the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has actually a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Bozeman regional farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this particular trademark was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to generate a image that projected self-confidence, financial success, and luxury.
Logo developed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is similar to a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
