Nebraska Logo Design

Nearly every new Nebraska business professional realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly grasp the essential role their business logo can make in their becoming successful, or why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and long-term impact on the success of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Nebraska  businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be enduring and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.
Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Nebraska, Nebraska coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an older part of the area and hoped to project a retro feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by means of developing a trademark concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for Nebraska, Nebraska clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog developed for a household fun center in Nebraska, Nebraska.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - made for Nebraska, Nebraska travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Nebraska logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Nebraska logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design understand how vital a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s share of hurdles, however the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Nebraska, Nebraska book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book considering that it is often the primary thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems like that in many cases one of the traits folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a spirit of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Nebraska logo layout utilized for advertising and also a label style for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Nebraska, Nebraska, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects considering that it seems that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that carried a feeling of relaxation and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of making simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a company logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application developer the style functions and iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a logo design is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Nebraska business logo dsign along with a graphic which captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t really produced for an Nebraska, Nebraska area farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this company was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to create a graphic that projects confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.

Nebraska Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for outwardly facing arrow and the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo design made for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
