Bellevue Logo Design

Virtually every new Bellevue organization realizes that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the key role their organization logo can play in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design functions more effectively than another. A logo has an instant and long term effect on the success of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Bellevue businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Bellevue coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an old part of town and hoped to project a vintage atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by means of designing a business logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria developed for Bellevue medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping green frog created for a household enjoyable center in Bellevue.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Bellevue traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bellevue logo but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Bellevue logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective viewpoints on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo design comprehend how essential a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s share of difficulties, however the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Bellevue book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most necessary part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many cases 1 of the things people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Bellevue logo design used for advertising and also a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Bellevue, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it seems that virtually every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which projected a sense of tranquility and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious course of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead crafted a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is frequently the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the main focus on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application programmer the style features and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Progress logo style created for a Bellevue indoor developer, design feature a series of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Bellevue logo dsign with an illustration that grabs the interest of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really produced for an Bellevue area farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this logo design was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to make a graphic that projected self-confidence, success, and wealth.
Logo created for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
