Boulder City Logo Design

Each and every new Boulder City organization knows they require a logo, but few new business owners fully comprehend the essential role their logo will take in their success, or why one business logo performs better than another. A business logo has a critical and long-term influence on the prosperity of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Boulder City companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Boulder City coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an old part of the community and hoped to cast an old-fashioned feel without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs via creating a company logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Boulder City clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping green frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Boulder City.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Boulder City traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Boulder City logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Boulder City logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased judgements on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Boulder City book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a printed book considering that it is often the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many instances 1 of the things folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was surely a victory.

Boulder City logo style utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Case features an old font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Boulder City, design include an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that carried an atmosphere of ease and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious course of creating just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind brand concept customized to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. By having an identifiable head shape and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily identifiable equine types in the whole world.

Logo style for a software program programmer the layout attributes as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to market their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Boulder City logo dsign with an image which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t really developed for an Boulder City area farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to generate an identity that projected confidence, financial success, and affluence.
Logo design created for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the owner to create a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
