Carson City Logo Design

Each and every new Carson City business realizes that they need a logo, but few new business owners entirely recognize the pivotal role their organization logo will play in their becoming successful, or why one logo design works far better than another. A logo has a critical and lasting influence on the financial success of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Carson City companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Carson City coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an older section of the city and wished to cast an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by means of developing a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for Carson City clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog developed for a family fun facility in Carson City.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Carson City travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Carson City logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Carson City logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get neutral assessments on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of difficulties, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Carson City publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most critical part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the items folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of air travel and it was definitely a success.

Carson City logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and also a label design for Vintage Situation includes an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Carson City, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it appears that each and every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that communicated an atmosphere of contentment and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious route of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a business logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo design for a software program programmer the layout features and also famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Carson City logo design dsign with an image which seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually composed for an Carson City area farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this particular trademark was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to produce a graphic that projects trust, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo design created for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
