Elko, Nevada Logo Design

Virtually every new Elko venture knows they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly understand the key role their organization logo will play in their success, or precisely why one logo design works better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long-term effect on the success of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Elko, Nevada companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Elko, Nevada coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an old part of the area and wanted to project a nostalgic feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by means of creating a trademark design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and germs developed for Elko, Nevada clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a household enjoyable center in Elko, Nevada.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Elko, Nevada traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Elko logo but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Elko logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get neutral assessments on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo realize how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s share of challenges, however the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Elko, Nevada book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a published book because it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it looks like that in many instances one of the things folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a good sense of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Elko logo style used for advertising and marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Elko, Nevada, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually really love doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that carried a feeling of contentment and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious path of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the emotion that they wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a little dining establishment, style contains a changed script typeface which floats over a group of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo design for a software program designer the design features and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Evolve logo style developed for a Elko, Nevada interior developer, style function a collection of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

logo layout provided for Advanced Management Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in middle of the word progressed have been modified to link straight right into words listed below.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Elko logo dsign using an image which captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually produced for an Elko, Nevada regional farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this brand was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to make an identity that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and wealth.

Elko Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style attribute for outwardly dealing with arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo made for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is evocative a well-known sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo design that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
