Las Vegas Logo Design

Virtually every new Las Vegas venture understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly understand the vital role their company logo can perform in their becoming successful, or why one logo functions far better than another. A logo has a critical and long-term impact on the growth of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Las Vegas businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Las Vegas coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an older section of the town and hoped to visualize a retro vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks via designing a company logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs created for Las Vegas medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family members fun facility in Las Vegas.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Las Vegas travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Las Vegas logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Las Vegas logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo project has it’s portion of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Las Vegas publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most essential part of a published book considering that it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many cases 1 of the items folks often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Las Vegas logo style made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Las Vegas, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that communicated an atmosphere of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious course of making simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the attention on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian steed logo design produced for a horse ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe logo layout a little restaurant, design contains a customized script font style which floats above a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo design for a software application designer the design functions and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Las Vegas logo design job was undertaken for a leadership coach that enables business professionals to develop into more successful at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell off their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Las Vegas business logo dsign with an image which pulls in the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really composed for an Las Vegas area farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to design an identity that projects confidence, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo created for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is reminiscent of a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
