New Hampshire Logo Design

Nearly every new New Hampshire venture understands that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely realize the pivotal role their logo will take in their financial success, or exactly why one logo design performs better than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term effect on the financial success of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help New Hampshire businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a New Hampshire coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an old part of the city and wished to cast a nostalgic feel without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs via designing a logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and germs made for New Hampshire medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design Project

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical examination of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members fun center in New Hampshire.

Cool Springs | Retail Branding Project

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for New Hampshire traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  New Hampshire logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

New Hampshire logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design Project

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced opinions on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of hurdles, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for New Hampshire book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design Project

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, but it really is the most important part of a published book because it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books. This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design Project

Airlines come and go yet it looks like that in many instances 1 of the items people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a success.

New Hampshire logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Case includes an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design Project

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in New Hampshire, design include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design Project

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that each and every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry. I really love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on. Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.
William McNally logo design designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design Project

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project. The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.
Logo layout created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo which related a sense of peace and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their patrons.
Arabian equine logo design created for a horse cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design Project

ImageCo designed an original organization logo concept fashioned to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of horses. With an identifiable head shape and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable horse types in the whole world.

Las Coffee shop logo layout a little dining establishment, layout consists of a modified manuscript typeface which hovers above a team of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software application programmer the style attributes and also famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design Project

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo design is just as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their New Hampshire logo design design using a graphic that pulls in the attention of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an New Hampshire area farm it was really designed for a products broker, and this particular company logo was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to develop an identity that projected esteem, financial success, and luxury.

New Hampshire Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout feature for outwardly encountering arrow and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the flexibility to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo design developed for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a well-known sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
