Bedford, New Hampshire Logo Design

Virtually every new Bedford business professional knows they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully recognize the essential role their logo design can play in their financial success, or the reason that one logo works far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the growth of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Bedford, New Hampshire companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.
Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Bedford, New Hampshire coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an older part of the area and wished to project a nostalgic feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these jobs via creating a logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs designed for Bedford, New Hampshire clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable center in Bedford, New Hampshire.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Bedford, New Hampshire traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bedford logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Bedford logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get objective assessments on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo comprehend how important a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s share of obstacles, but the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Bedford, New Hampshire publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most critical part of a printed book since it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the items individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Bedford logo layout used for marketing and also a tag design for Vintage Situation includes an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Bedford, New Hampshire, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo which projected a spirit of tranquility and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the style features and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Bedford logo design dsign with a graphic that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t actually created for an Bedford, New Hampshire regional farm it was in reality devised for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to develop a graphic that projects esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.

Bedford Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design function for externally facing arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the opportunity to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I hit a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo design made for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is evocative a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
