Dover Logo Design

Every new Dover company understands that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the vital role their logo will make in their success, or why one logo design functions far better than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining impact on the prosperity of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Dover companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Dover coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old part of the community and really wanted to visualize a retro tone without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by means of creating a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria designed for Dover clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun facility in Dover.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for Dover travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Dover logo but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Dover logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased judgements on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo comprehend how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s allotment of obstacles, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Dover book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, but it really is the most crucial part of a published book due to the fact that it is often the initial thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the things folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a good sense of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

Dover logo layout used for marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Case features an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Dover, style consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which carried a feeling of ease and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious course of designing merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the importance on the perception that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the layout functions and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to sell off their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Dover business logo dsign along with an image which seizes the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Dover regional farm it was in reality devised for an investments broker, and this company was one of several that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to design an identity that projected self-assurance, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design made for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is similar to a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
