New Jersey Logo Design

Each and every new New Jersey  business realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners entirely understand the key role their company logo will play in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design performs better than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining influence on the growth of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help New Jersey companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a New Jersey coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an old section of the town and wanted to cast an old-fashioned tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs by means of developing a trademark concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs developed for New Jersey medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a family members fun center in New Jersey.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for New Jersey traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  New Jersey  logo but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

New Jersey logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral judgements on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of hurdles, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for New Jersey book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a published book because it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many instances one of the aspects people tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a feeling of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

New Jersey logo design utilized for marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in New Jersey, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that carried a feeling of contentment and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of crafting simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is usually the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo design developed for an equine ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application designer the layout features as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Advance logo layout produced for a New Jersey indoor developer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts.

I created their New Jersey business logo design using an image which garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t really developed for an New Jersey  farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to produce a graphic that projects trust, success, and wealth.

New Jersey Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout attribute for ostensibly dealing with arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without knowing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo made for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is similar to a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
