Carteret Logo Design

Nearly every new Carteret venture knows they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely realize the pivotal role their logo can make in their success, or precisely why one logo functions far better than another. A company logo has a critical and long term impact on the growth of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Carteret businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Carteret coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an old section of the city and really wanted to cast an old-fashioned tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs by designing a trademark design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Carteret clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family enjoyable center in Carteret.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Carteret travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather project emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Carteret logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Carteret logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Carteret publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most important part of a printed book since it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many cases 1 of the things folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Carteret logo style used for marketing and also a tag design for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Carteret, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it seems that every single dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that communicated an atmosphere of relaxation and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious path of making simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo design for a software designer the style functions as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the substance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to market their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Carteret business logo dsign utilizing an illustration that garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an Carteret regional farm it was really designed for a products broker, and this particular company was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to make an identity that projected esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo design created for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
