East Orange Logo Design

Virtually every new East Orange organization understands that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully realize the key role their company logo can take in their financial success, or the reason that one logo design functions far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and sustaining effect on the prosperity of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help East Orange businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a East Orange coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an older section of the city and wished to project a nostalgic vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs by means of designing a trademark concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as bacteria designed for East Orange medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that deals with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping green frog made for a family enjoyable center in East Orange.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for East Orange traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  East Orange logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

East Orange logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest viewpoints on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo realize how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of challenges, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for East Orange book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a published book because it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it looks like that in many instances 1 of the items individuals usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of flight and it was definitely a victory.

East Orange logo style used for marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in East Orange, design include an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that projected a spirit of ease and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a company logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their clients.

Logo layout for a software program designer the layout functions and famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their East Orange logo dsign utilizing an image that grabs the attention of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t actually produced for an East Orange regional farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this trademark was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to generate a graphic that projected confidence, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo created for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
