STRATEGIES ON CHOOSING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design company presents a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they simply cannot refund the time you commit which is much more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but ultimately a design agency can only be evaluated from the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio doesn’t contain real world examples odds are they won’t be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s goal is to reflect your unique vision for your company. If a logo designer isn’t focused on realizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they can get paid.

Elizabeth LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping businesses of all kinds develop unforgettable brand identities. We have undertaken brand identity design work for mechanics, universities, diamond miners, party planners, restaurants, retailers, and just about every other kind of business you can imagine. What makes ImageCo unique compared to traditional designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every design as if it will be employed as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first technique our brand identity designs can, and have been used in everything from garment labels to billboards. Our sign first approach insures that our logo designs are just as successful whether they are used in TV commercials or web headers, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and always remembered no matter of size or use.

American Made ★ Design

Something which really sets ImageCo apart from many of the design firms that you may have found in Google’s search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every project we are hired to perform, we perform ourselves. Regardless of the kind of project we undertake, logo, website, trade show display, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will farm-out our customer’s work to contractors located outside the United States. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a go-between that increases the cost of your design project and dictates the conditions of how my customers and I do business.

ASPECTS OF A POWERFUL LOGO DESIGN

Nearly every new Elizabeth organization understands that they require a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly understand the vital role their organization’s logo can play in their success, or why one business logo works far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long term effect on the success of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Elizabeth businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t need contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to retail signs a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos which operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the product or business they brand.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be enduring and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

understanding branding

Brand – It’s both a verb and a noun, it is an identifying mark as well as the process of marking something so that it could be recognized, its origin originates from the mark branded onto animals. Nowadays a brand indicates pretty much anything with an intention, regardless if it be earnings or political parties, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of defining the worth of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like marketing and advertising’s sexy cousin, they are all from the same family, the difference being that advertising and marketing are about making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition aimed at a target market, it’s objective is to create an image that the target market will relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing and identity design. When somebody states the names Lamborghini or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can transport us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, beauty, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and that is what makes people purchase those brands. Brand image is why people identify with most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Firms – If you reflect on the beginning of the majority of branding firms you’ll discover that they are quite often rebranded marketing companies. When somebody states they are in advertising the majority of people will likely have an idea about what they do. However when a person states “I’m in branding”… it simply sounds more impressive, perhaps it’s since many people do not know what it indicates to be in branding so it comes off as more mysterious and even sexy.

Brand Identity – Is a comprehensive term that defines the visual aspects of a product or agency that influence understandings. This largely consists of the name, the logo design, the product packaging, the different colors utilized however can additionally consist of audio, lighting, texture, signs, just about anything that can be seen, felt or heard are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a designer that concentrates on a type of visual design that helps form the public image of a firm, a product or an organization. Brand identity designers create logo designs, sign designs, product packaging, as well as collateral products such as business cards, stationery, and also brochures. Some visual designers also build sites and also software interfaces. The vital function of a brand identity designer is to establish the visual cues and also a psychological tone with the objective of affecting activities, end results and understandings.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Elizabeth coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an older part of town and really wanted to cast a nostalgic vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs via developing a trademark concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Elizabeth medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping green frog developed for a family fun facility in Elizabeth.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Elizabeth travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Elizabeth logo design but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Elizabeth logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial viewpoints on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo comprehend how vital a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Elizabeth book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, however it really is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is often the primary thing a person sees in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems like that in many instances one of the things individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Elizabeth logo layout used for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Elizabeth, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it seems that every single dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design produced for a Elizabeth hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which related a spirit of contentment and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of designing just a stylized orchid but instead designed a company logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo layout created for a horse ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind organization logo design customized to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a different head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable equine breeds in the entire world.

Las Cafe, A Elizabeth restaurant logo design a tiny dining establishment, design consists of a modified manuscript typeface which floats over a group of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a tiny dining establishment, style includes a changed manuscript typeface which hovers above a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software program designer the style functions and legendary Elizabeth element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Progress logo style developed for a Elizabethinterior designer, layout attribute a series of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Elizabeth interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is an individual who plans, investigates, coordinates, and oversees such tasks. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, space planning, site examinations, programming, study, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Elizabeth, the characters for letter V and also A in center of the word advanced have been customized to link straight into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Elizabeth logo design project was carried out for a leadership advisor that helps business professionals to become more successful at managing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Elizabeth business logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Elizabeth logo design design using a graphic which captures the interest of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this Elizabeth company logo design has actually a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an Elizabeth regional farm it was actually developed for an investments broker, and this brand was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to make a graphic that projected confidence, financial success, and opulence.

Elizabeth Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout feature for externally facing arrowhead as well as the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo developed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a well-known Elizabeth sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to design a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
