Elizabeth Logo Design

Virtually every new Elizabeth company understands that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely realize the crucial role their business logo will take in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo performs better than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting influence on the financial success of a company, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Elizabeth businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Elizabeth coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an older section of town and really wanted to project a nostalgic feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks via developing a business logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for Elizabeth clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a family fun center in Elizabeth.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - developed for Elizabeth traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Elizabeth logo design but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Elizabeth logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral point of views on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo design realize how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Elizabeth publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a published book considering that it is often the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems that in many occurrences one of the traits consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was surely a success.

Elizabeth logo style used for advertising as well as a tag layout for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Elizabeth, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it seems that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which conveyed a feeling of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo design that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is oftentimes the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the attention on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software application designer the layout functions and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to sell their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Elizabeth logo design dsign with a graphic that garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an Elizabeth regional farm it was actually developed for an investments broker, and this logo design was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to design a graphic that projects self-assurance, success, and wealth.
Logo made for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is similar to a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
