Englewood, New Jersey Logo Design

Nearly every new Englewood company realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely understand the pivotal role their logo design will perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo works far better than another. A business logo has an instant and long-term effect on the growth of a company, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Englewood, New Jersey businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from labels to movie screens a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be lasting and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.
Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Englewood, New Jersey coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an older part of the city and wished to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs by means of creating a custom logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also germs created for Englewood, New Jersey medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a household enjoyable facility in Englewood, New Jersey.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Englewood, New Jersey travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Englewood logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Englewood logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial viewpoints on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design realize how important a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Englewood, New Jersey publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a printed book considering that it is usually the first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems like that in many cases one of the aspects individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a spirit of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Englewood logo design used for advertising and marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Englewood, New Jersey, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it appears that virtually every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which projected an atmosphere of peace and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a business logo which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software developer the layout features and also famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Englewood business logo dsign utilizing a graphic which seizes the interest of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really created for an Englewood, New Jersey area farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this creative logo was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to create a brand mark that projected assurance, success, and affluence.

Englewood Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for externally facing arrow and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the first go.

Logo design designed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is reminiscent of a popular sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo design that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
