Hopatcong Hills Logo Design

Each and every new Hopatcong Hills organization understands that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully are aware of the essential role their logo design can play in their success, or exactly why one logo design works better than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining impact on the financial success of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Hopatcong Hills businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Hopatcong Hills coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an older section of the town and wished to project an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks via creating a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for Hopatcong Hills clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog created for a family members enjoyable facility in Hopatcong Hills.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Hopatcong Hills travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Hopatcong Hills logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Hopatcong Hills logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased point of views on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design recognize how essential a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design project has it’s share of hurdles, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Hopatcong Hills publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many cases 1 of the traits consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

Hopatcong Hills logo layout used for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Hopatcong Hills, layout include an arc with lines converging through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it seems that almost every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo which related an atmosphere of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the importance on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo design for a software application designer the layout features and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell off their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Hopatcong Hills logo design dsign with an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t really composed for an Hopatcong Hills regional farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make a image that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo designed for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is evocative a popular sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
