Jackson, New Jersey Logo Design

Nearly every new Jackson business realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners fully understand the essential role their organization logo will take in their success, or exactly why one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has a critical and long term effect on the financial success of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Jackson, New Jersey companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require scrutiny, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike created for a Jackson, New Jersey coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an old part of town and wished to project an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved both tasks by means of developing a trademark concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria made for Jackson, New Jersey medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable center in Jackson, New Jersey.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Jackson, New Jersey travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather convey emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Jackson logo design but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Jackson logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo recognize how important a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s portion of hurdles, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Jackson, New Jersey book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most vital part of a printed book because it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Jackson logo style made use of for marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this brand concept I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Jackson, New Jersey, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it appears that each and every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually really love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which related a feeling of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of creating just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the emphasis on the perception that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo design for a software program developer the style functions and renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the substance behind a business logo is just as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Jackson logo design dsign utilizing a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the first go.

Logo developed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
