Jersey City, New Jersey Logo Design

Virtually every new Jersey City company understands that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely recognize the essential role their logo can make in their becoming successful, or why one logo functions more effectively than another. A logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the success of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Jersey City, New Jersey companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be enduring and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.
Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Jersey City, New Jersey coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an older part of the city and wished to project a retro vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two jobs via developing a logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria created for Jersey City, New Jersey clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a jumping green frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Jersey City, New Jersey travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Jersey City logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Jersey City logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo realize how essential a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of obstacles, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Jersey City, New Jersey book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a printed book given that it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems like that in many instances one of the traits individuals often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was certainly a victory.

Jersey City logo style utilized for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Case includes an antiquated font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Jersey City, New Jersey, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects because it appears that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which projected a feeling of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious route of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is frequently the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo layout for a software program developer the design functions and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Jersey City business logo dsign along with an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t really composed for an Jersey City, New Jersey area farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this particular trademark was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to make a brand mark that projected confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.

Jersey City Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style attribute for outwardly facing arrowhead and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the freedom to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Luckily, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo design made for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is evocative a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
