Linden, New Jersey Logo Design

Virtually every new Linden company understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully realize the essential role their logo design will perform in their success, or precisely why one business logo works far better than another. A logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the growth of a company, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of an organization.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Linden, New Jersey businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be realized in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Linden, New Jersey coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an old section of the town and wanted to project a vintage feel without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by creating a business logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria created for Linden, New Jersey clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family members fun facility in Linden, New Jersey.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Linden, New Jersey traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Linden logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Linden logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of obstacles, but the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Linden, New Jersey publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a published book given that it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it looks like that in many instances one of the traits individuals often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to confering a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

Linden logo style made use of for advertising and marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Linden, New Jersey, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects considering that it seems that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually really love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that conveyed a sense of simplicity and class for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of making just a stylized orchid but instead created a logo design that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is generally the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the importance on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a unique brand concept styled to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. By having an unique head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily identifiable horse breeds in the whole world.

Las Coffee shop logo style a small restaurant, design consists of a customized manuscript font style which floats over a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout attributes as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to sell off their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Linden business logo dsign using a graphic that captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t actually produced for an Linden, New Jersey regional farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this logo design was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to design an identity that projected assurance, success, and opulence.

Linden Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design feature for ostensibly facing arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo created for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is similar to a renowned sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
