Lodi Logo Design

Each and every new Lodi company understands that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the pivotal role their logo design will take in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo functions far better than another. A company logo has an instant and lasting impact on the financial success of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Lodi businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Lodi coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an older section of the area and wished to project a retro atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs via developing a custom logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs made for Lodi clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a household fun facility in Lodi.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Lodi travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Lodi logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Lodi logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo realize how important a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of difficulties, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Lodi publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, however it is the most vital part of a printed book given that it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many instances 1 of the items individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Lodi logo style utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this custom logo design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Lodi, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it appears that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that conveyed a feeling of ease and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the main focus on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo style for a software programmer the layout features and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to market their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Lodi logo design dsign with a graphic that captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t actually designed for an Lodi area farm it was actually created for a commodities broker, and this logo was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to generate a graphic that projected trust, success, and wealth.
Logo design made for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a renowned sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to design a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
