Maple Shade Logo Design

Each and every new Maple Shade business understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners entirely understand the key role their organization logo can take in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and sustaining influence on the financial success of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Maple Shade businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Maple Shade coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an old section of town and hoped to cast a retro tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by designing a business logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs made for Maple Shade clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a leaping green frog made for a family fun center in Maple Shade.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - created for Maple Shade travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Maple Shade logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Maple Shade logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest judgements on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design realize how vital a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for Maple Shade publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most vital part of a printed book considering that it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many cases 1 of the traits consumers tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a spirit of flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Maple Shade logo layout used for advertising and marketing and a label layout for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Maple Shade, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that projected a feeling of tranquility and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but instead created a logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout attributes and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Maple Shade business logo dsign with an illustration that captures the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually produced for an Maple Shade area farm it was in reality created for a products broker, and this company logo was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to produce a brand mark that projected esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo created for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is similar to a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the proprietor to develop a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
