Mount Laurel Logo Design

Every new Mount Laurel business realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners entirely realize the essential role their company logo can take in their financial success, or exactly why one logo design functions better than another. A business logo has an immediate and lasting influence on the success of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Mount Laurel businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require contemplation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Mount Laurel coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an older section of the town and hoped to cast a retro atmosphere without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by means of developing a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Mount Laurel medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which deals with the clinical examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a family members fun center in Mount Laurel.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Mount Laurel traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mount Laurel logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Mount Laurel logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get honest judgements on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of obstacles, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Mount Laurel book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a published book given that it is usually the first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems like that in many instances 1 of the items individuals often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Mount Laurel logo layout used for advertising and also a label layout for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Mount Laurel, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it seems that each and every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which carried an atmosphere of ease and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo design that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is oftentimes the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the main focus on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo style for a software application developer the layout features as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Mount Laurel logo design dsign utilizing an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t really designed for an Mount Laurel regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to develop an identity that projected confidence, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo developed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the owner to create a logo design which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
