New Milford, New Jersey Logo Design

Virtually every new New Milford business understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly realize the key role their logo design will play in their financial success, or why one logo performs better than another. A logo has an instant and long term impact on the viability of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help New Milford, New Jersey companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be ageless and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.
Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a New Milford, New Jersey coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an old section of the town and wanted to project a nostalgic vibe without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs by means of creating a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for New Milford, New Jersey medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the clinical assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog created for a family enjoyable facility in New Milford, New Jersey.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for New Milford, New Jersey traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  New Milford logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

New Milford logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective judgements on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo project has it’s share of obstacles, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for New Milford, New Jersey book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most vital part of a printed book given that it is usually the very first thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it looks like that in many cases one of the items people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a good sense of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

New Milford logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Case features an old font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in New Milford, New Jersey, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs because it seems that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo which carried an atmosphere of contentment and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious direction of making simply a stylized orchid but instead created a logo design that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is usually the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the attention on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo style for a software program developer the layout functions and iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their New Milford business logo dsign with an image which pulls in the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really composed for an New Milford, New Jersey area farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. New Milford Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design function for externally facing arrowhead and also the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the opportunity to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo created for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
